Wade’s estranged spouse seeking to amend divorce settlement

Professional basketball star Dwayne Wade’s former spouse is seeking to have her divorce settlement re-opened, an article of wgntv.com reported on July 10. The request is coming after Wade signed a two-year contract deal worth $47 million with the Chicago Bulls.

Reports said Wade’s ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches, wants to receive more of Wade’s earnings by asking a judge to amend her previously agreed upon divorce settlement. Funches is now claiming the deal was made by her lawyer, who did not notify her beforehand. The estranged couple’s divorce was finalized in 2010, three years after Wade filed for divorce and was granted sole custody of the couple’s two kids.
