“The Shield” actor Michael Jace admits to murdering wife

Actor Michael Jace, known for his role in the TV drama “The Shield” has recently admitted to the murder of his wife in their Los Angeles home, the LA Times reported on May 20.

On May 19, Michael’s wife April Jace arrived at their Hyde Park neighborhood home at around 8:00 p.m after she picked up their sons from baseball practice.  No more than 15 minutes later, gunshots rang out.

The 51-year-old actor later confessed to police that he shot his wife while his two young sons were home. Authorities believed that domestic violence was a factor for April’s death. Michael was charged of domestic violence almost 20 years ago as he divorced his ex-wife Jennifer Bitterman. In the court documents, Bitterman accused the actor of physically abusing her.
