The son of former football player John Elway was recently apprehended by police for assaulting his girlfriend, an article by the 9NEWS stated on June 2.
Charges of assault and peace disturbance were filed against 24-year-old John Elway III, commonly known as “Jack” Elway. An affidavit stated that the incident occurred on May 30 when Jack, who was driving at the time, had a verbal altercation with his girlfriend. Jack reportedly stopped his vehicle on Colfax Avenue and North Lipan Street and pulled his girlfriend out of the vehicle by her hair. The victim, whose name was withheld, lost hair and suffered wounds on her knees. After being arrested, Jack was released after a bond of $550 was posted. He will appear in court on June 5.
